Is it beneficial to invest in a wifi temperature control?

After 4 years, I finally decided to replace my cell iPhone.

And technically, it wasn’t an replace because the only reason why I purchased a new iPhone was because my old iPhone broke.

If the screen wasn’t cracked, I actually would’ve still had the iPhone because everything else worked perfectly fine. I am not a technically savvy person, so having the latest devices doesn’t entice me. I use my iPhone to take pictures, to send e-mails, as well as to make iPhone calls, then outside of that, I barely have apps that I use on the iPhone, I have never seen a need for them. My friend Lisa is always making fun of me because she has all the newest gadgets that you can suppose of in her home. In fact, her house is fully automated, as well as everything can be accessed using her Smartphone or a tablet. Her recent gadget was a Smart temperature control. Initially, she had a programmable one, but due to its limitations, she decided to replace to a temperature control that she can access from anywhere in the world. If used properly, both temperature controls can save up to 10% on your energy bill, but the Smart temperature control has a lot more functionality. Besides being able to access it from anywhere, the temperature control can be programmed with reminders to change the Heating & A/C filters as well as to schedule the repair. In addition, the temperature control can be pre-programmed with vacation dates so that it will always adjust accordingly. While I don’t guess that I need a Smart temperature control, I can see the benefits in investing in one.

The solar panel offers sound too great to be true

Lately, I have been seeing so more than 2 commercials offering solar panels to homeowners plus other incentives, and i often wonder if those deals are too unbelievable to be true.

So, I am yet to entertain any of it! But I must admit that every time I see the ads, I wonder if I qualify for the incentives.

While I know entirely little about solar panels, it sounds appreciate it could save a lot of money on my energy bill. In fact, the ads stated that the solar panels would generate so much energy that the power business would have to issue rebates, although the solar panels sound great, I was more interested in the energy-efficient Heating, Ventilation & A/C units that the ad also promises, currently, my Heating, Ventilation & A/C component is over 15 years old, so it has lost some of its efficiency plus I will need to replace it soon… Having an energy-efficient Heating, Ventilation & A/C component will improve the temperature in my home, plus it will also save me some money on my energy bill, but the savings occur because the component doesn’t need to work as strenuous to maintain a comfortable temperature in my home! Moreover, my Heating, Ventilation & A/C component is noisy when it cycles on plus off plus a newer component would eliminate that issue, and plus, the purpose of a high efficiency Heating, Ventilation & A/C component is that they are better for the environment. They would use less of our resources to operate. I might skip over the solar deal, but if I qualify for a new more energy-efficient Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit, I will have to consider taking the offer. Hopefully, it’s a legit deal plus it’s not too unbelievable to be true.

My space heater was overheating.

I unplugged it, but when I plugged it in, it wouldn’t start again

I don’t have heat in my office, and I was using a space heater to keep me warm when I was working. I knew it was a stupid thing to do, because the space heater I bought did not have a thermostat. It was on, or it was off. My husband told me he didn’t think it was safe to use the space heater, because it was on carpeting. He wanted me to get a fireproof pad and put the space heater on it, but it was too hot to touch. I told him I would buy one, but I never got around to it. I would go into my office to work, and turn the space heater. Whenever I went out, even if it was to go to the bathroom, I would turn it off. The heat wasn’t steady when I was doing this, but it would just continue to blow heat until I was sweating. My husband came into the room one afternoon and left the door open. He said as hot as it was in my office, we could heat the entire downstairs. I didn’t think he was funny, but the cool air that came into the room felt room good. One afternoon, I called my husband and told him the space heater was overheating. I couldn’t turn it off, and it was almost ninety degrees in the room. I unplugged it, but when I plugged it in, it wouldn’t start again. My husband told me I was lucky I didn’t burn the house down when he finally came upstairs. There were burnt marks on the floor where the space heater was sitting.

I thought it was my fault the house burned down.

Last month, my parents house burned down.

I had been playing with the furnace, trying to teach myself how to do furnace servicing.

I talked to the HVAC technician when he was at the house, and I watched what he was doing. All I did was mimic his actions, without really making any changes. I grabbed one wire, and it broke off in my hand. I quickly closed the furnace up, and went upstairs before mom and dad got home from work. That night, something malfunctioned in the furnace and it caused a house fire. We lost everything, but everyone was safe. Mom and dad were upset, and I kept saying the fire was my fault. Dad told me there was nothing I could have done to start the fire, but I had been the one who was playing with the furnace before they got home from work. When the insurance adjuster came to the house, he said the fire was caused by an electrical glitch. We were lucky everyone was awake, because the fire spread so quickly. I started crying when they said it was electrical, and now I was sure I had started the fire. I told dad what I had been doing and he told me it had nothing to do with me. He was upset that I was playing with the furnace, but he didn’t think it had anything to do with the fire. I told him a wire came off in my hand. Dad told me the insurance adjuster said the fire started in the play room and not in the furnace room. I was thankful dad was trying to make me feel better, but I was still convinced the fire was my fault.
