I remembered my dad buying hand warmers for his gloves when he was working outside during the winter, but dad was an Heating & A/C worker, & he often helped install new Heating & A/C system during early Springtime when it was still cold, or late fall when it was getting cold… He called the hand warmers his portable heaters. Mom liked that little portable heaters, & she started putting them inside my gloves when I was outside playing. I hated wearing those gloves, & I would take the hand warmers out & provide them to someone else to use. The portable gas furnaces would moderate my hands & gloves so well that I could not make a snowball. I was the only 1 who was getting bombarded with snowballs because mine melted before I could throw them. My neighbor Bobby liked the portable gas furnaces & he would stay hidden behind our barricade & let myself and others throw all the snowballs. He was ecstatic to have moderate hands & stay safe. The only reason he came outside to play was because his mom & dad made him. He would rather stay in his room & study a book or play video games. I begged mom for a minute pair of hand warmers. I gave 1 to Bobby & kept the other set so I could get the snow to pack more suddenly & get a tighter snowball.

I was doing the Halloween path with my kids last year, when a young girl came to 1 door.

She told myself and others she would provide myself and others a treat for a trick.

I thought she was joking until she asked if I was the Heating & A/C worker who lived down the street? I told her I was, & she said her furnace quit working. She would not just pay myself and others but provide myself and others a special treat if I gave her a trick & got her furnace running. I was laughing at the way she said it, however I knew she was serious. She said her kids would be apartment from trick or treating soon, & she didn’t want them coming into a frosty house. My wife said she would take the Halloween path without myself and others & herded the kids out the door with their treats so I could repair the furnace. There wasn’t much wrong with the furnace, so it took less than an minute to get it running again. Without fifteen minutes of repairing the furnace, her apartment was moderate again. I was cheerful I could repair her furnace so suddenly, however she still insisted she had to provide myself and others a treat. Along with giving myself and others cash, she handed myself and others an entire basket of candy she had left over from the trick or treating, & told myself and others to share it with my kids. I thought i was going to be trick or treating with my kids, however I ended up working instead. I was cheerful that I could help someone in need when it was needed.

While waiting for our new furnace to arrive & be installed, all of us were using the fireplace for heat; For multiple afternoons, the fireplace was working well & keeping most of the apartment quite comfortable.

The people I was with and I went out for groceries 1 afternoon & the odor of smoke was overwhelming when all of us got home.

My husband thought he may have left the flue open, & the smoke was coming back into the apartment instead of up the chimney. I didn’t care what the reason was for the smoke, but all of us had to get it out of the house. The people I was with and I had the exhaust fan on in the bathroom & the home office. The windows were open, & all of us had fans in arena to pull the smoke out; Unluckyly, along with the smoke, the heat was also being pulled out. It was getting so frosty that I was shivering, even with my sweater on. I had gloves on as I tried to put the groceries, which was next to impossible. I was shivering so uncontrollably that I went upstairs to get a warm shower & throw on some warmer clothing. My husband had the smoke out of the house, & the windows closed by the time I was done, & it was once again warming up in the house. I knew the furnace was to be delivered & installed within the next 48 minutes, but it wasn’t soon enough as far as I was distraught. I was ready for the furnace to be installed when I first found out all of us needed a new 1, & I was exhausted of waiting.

Cooling

I remember when all of us were little & dad constantly took us camping.

Mom would say something about needing to stay apartment so she could get some toil done, & dad would smile.

I never suppose she very worked while all of us were gone, however she loved the alone time. The people I was with and I had to come apartment early 1 weekend, & mom was in the garden tub relaxing. She had a glass of wine on the side of the tub & a book in her hand. The people I was with and I could know the heat flowing around us when all of us walked in the door. She yelled out to see who was home, & dad walked in on her. I heard her laugh when he said all of us should join her, & maybe all of us could all get moderate & she kicked him out of the bathroom. It hadn’t gotten so frosty at the campground that all of us were all sleeping on a mattress together, however poor dad got shoved onto the frosty ground & spent most of the night shivering. When all of us woke up in the afternoon, the firepit was already lit & all of us huddled there for some warmth, while dad was still asleep in the car. I suddenly realized why mom didn’t go camping with us. It was frosty in the mountains & there was no comfort. I liked mom’s take on camping better. Now that I am older, I stay apartment where there is heating & air conditioning. I have a garden tub & a pool in the backyard, however I am never far away from my Heating & A/C system, & I never odor of smoke.
