Since I was young, I have always wanted to help the less fortunate in society and anyone else who needed help.

For Christmas, my parents would take my sister and me to donate to children’s homes.

That experience helped me understand and appreciate all I had, and when I grew up, I started a Love-Need foundation to help kids with special needs. We have been doing great ever since the foundation began its operations. Last summer, we donated new cooling products to a special needs children’s home, and the smiles on their faces brought tears to our eyes. We had previously worked with the house and noted the state of their HVAC unit. The indoor comfort and air quality left a lot to be desired. I had meetings with a few potential sponsors, including the local air conditioning business, and they had pledged to help. As a foundation, we got excited about this news. The entire job took a week, including the air conditioning install. At first, we had the cooling workman assess the building and its indoor comfort needs to see which quality air conditioner would best suit the space. They settled on a central air conditioning system and an indoor air cleaning unit. The management team at home had to go through a short session with the air conditioning expert about the importance of air conditioning service to the new unit. They were shown how to change the air filters and schedule the annual air conditioning tune-ups. The cooling techs also gave out their contacts for any future air conditioning repairs the system would require. Within a week, the home had improved indoor comfort and air quality.

I have read you have to be careful around space furnaces, but I wasn’t worried

My home has 3 bedrooms, since there is only my wife and our only son, that left one bedroom unoccupied. We originally had it as a guest room, but who were we kidding, we never have guests over. So instead, in a spur of the moment, my wife and I agreed to make it a work out room. We both worked out for about 2 weeks straight, but around the same time we both gave in and went back to being lazy. We were never that interested in maintaining active lives. The workout machines collected dust for a while, before we sold them. Then the room sat empty for a while. However, it soon became my new office room, after I got a nice job at home. Finally an opportunity to put that room to use. I decorated the room how I wanted, and put a beautiful oak computer desk, complete with the laptop and printer I would need for my job. However, the room was often quite cold. It is proven that it is harder to focus in colder temperatures, and so, I bought a space heater and put it in the room. I have read you have to be careful around space furnaces, but I wasn’t worried. The heating device would only be in use when I was in the room, and as soon as I was done, I would turn the heating component off. The space heating device turned out to be just what I needed, and now my own personal office is complete.

My sister came home early from school.

• I was amazed when I saw she was holding a frozen yogurt cup in her hand, and I asked her where she got it.

She told me that there is a frozen yogurt place that just opened up nearby. The bus dropped her off right next to it, and it is a short distance from our house. As soon as the words frozen yogurt entered my ears, I knew I had to go there. Prior to my sister telling me this, I was actually just thinking about and craving frozen yogurt. It had been at least a year or so since I had had frozen yogurt, and I absolutely loved it. The original place I used to go to all of the time for frozen yogurt is now too far away, ever since we moved anyways. So the next day, I immediately went out and had my eyes peeled for the frozen yogurt place. It wasn’t that hard to find it and once I bought my yogurt, l sat down inside to eat. However, the air conditioning system was keeping the place ice cold. Now usually, I love some good cold cooling air, but not when I am eating frozen foods. Even though I was only inside for a few minutes, with the ice cold air conditioner and eating frozen dessert, I was already shivering! So I went outside to enjoy the sun. I warmed up quickly, but the sun melted my dessert a bit. Oh well, I guess that is better than freezing inside with the A/C system.

As much as I love having a ton of pets, they don’t exactly make your home smell the best. I had 3 cats and 2 dogs, and most people can tell when they walk into my home. With my cats it is the litter box, and my dogs have the dog smell. Even with changing the litter boxes and bathing my dogs, the smell is still present. I wasn’t really sure what to do, it didn’t help that my heating and A/C unit ended up moving the smelly air around my home, so now the entire house smells, rather than just the area with the pets. After reading a bit online, a lot of people were suggesting a whole media air cleaner. A whole home media air purifier is perfect for removing bad smells from your home. I decided to take a leap of faith and buy one. The air cleaners are for sale from my local air conditioning place. The A/C store was a few miles away, but I ended up buying from them online. When I had the air purifier installed, it took a day or so for the smells to completely fade, but now you can’t really tell that I have pets at all. When I have people over, they are impressed. A lot of them didn’t know I had pets until they saw them. My friends in particular are amazed, since my home has made a complete change. It is great, I am so glad to not have to worry about my home’s smell anymore.
