Mitchell was holding a slumber party for her twins and her friends. One of her daughters, Arlene, told her the day before the sleepover that she would wear her new pajama set, and since it was not as warm as the others, she wanted to know how we would keep the house warm enough for her and her friends. I assured her that everything would be okay; all we had to do was reset the thermostat to her desired settings. The answer opened a new forum for questions on our air conditioner. Mitchell told her a simplified version of how their air conditioner installation worked. The Q&A session reminded Mitchell that she needed to call the air conditioning company to deliver a new air conditioning filter. The a/c care was six months overdue, so she called the air conditioning business. The a/c representative arrived later in the afternoon when Charlene and Arlene were getting home from school. Arlene was so excited that she followed the a/c worker to the unit for air conditioning maintenance. At first, Mitchell stopped her because she thought she would be more of a distraction to him, but he stopped her and told the mother to allow her to stick around. It needed so much work that I wanted to sit there and scream. I had inherited the house from my estranged husband. From the look of things, it might have been cheaper to buy a home, even a small one. We called the air conditioning business a week later to get an a/c representative to attend to all those issues. When we saw the air conditioning company truck, Angel and I enjoyed the cocktail on his front porch. He had informed me that he was expecting someone, but I never thought it was a tech from the air conditioning supplier. Before he parked and got out of the truck, I asked my sister if his air conditioner had a problem because I assumed the guy was there for a/c repair. He told me it was okay but was due for air conditioning maintenance. I was shocked because I only called the air conditioning business when ordering a new air conditioning filter or if the air conditioner installation had an issue. I also learned that I needed to have a proper a/c care plan because it would ensure that it would serve me for many more years to come and also improve the indoor air quality. Before the a/c worker left, she gave me a lot of information that would be of great importance regarding my HVAC unit. We offered her a sangria, but she declined because she had a long day of work ahead of her, but she did have one of the homemade hotdogs.

It was a Saturday evening, and I had invited a friend for a sleepover.

We were to watch a movie that had just been released and then play board or card games to pass the time if neither of us was sleepy.

I became a senior a/c representative at the air conditioning company I worked at. It was more of a low-key celebration.
