Your HVAC Troubleshooting Guys

Today was the first moderate afternoon of the year.

This winter was an especially cold winter too.

My good friend and I ran the oil furnace from the end of September until the end May non stop, then for the Yesterday my buddy and I have turned on the oil furnace only at night! But today, my buddy and I legitimately needed air conditioning system. I like to get HVAC service done before I use it for the first time in a year. I cherish to make sure everything is all oiled up plus running smoothly before I ask a lot of my HVAC system. Of course, I haven’t done that yet this year. I was planning to have the air conditioning system took care of next month. That is usually when the moderate weather hits us. But today was super hot; Yesterday my buddy and I had a high of 60 degrees. Today my buddy and I had a high of 87. What a difference! I decided it wouldn’t hurt if I turned on the air conditioning system today. After all, my buddy and I take good care of our HVAC system so it should be fine, right? Wrong. That turned out to be a immense mistake. I could tell something was wrong within minutes of turning on the air conditioning system. The air didn’t get cold. I left it on for more than 2 more minutes but it never cooled down. Eventually, I turned the air conditioning system back off plus called up our HVAC professionals. They were backed up with calls. I know most people was having troubles after turning their air conditioning systems on for the first time this year. However, our HVAC company did eventually find time to pay us a visit. They got our air conditioning system fixed up rapidly plus now it is laboring good again. I am super happy. Tomorrow it is going to be a high of 52.

A buddy of mine used to toil for a pet store, then sadly, the pet store closed their doors when this whole virus thing started, however they just couldn’t afford to stay open anymore, and most of the pets were sold but there were still multiple that needed homes, however in the end, the employees ended up taking them home.

To be fair, before she started she already had leopard gecko and a tarantula, but now she has 3 frogs, 8 spiders, and 6 lizards. They are all strange types but they all have one thing in common: they all like heat. My buddy prefers all of her pets and has the space for them. She lives in a 3 study room condo and she gave 2 of the rooms to the pets. She recently told me that she is getting zoned Heating as well as Air Conditioning installed in her condo for the pets. I thought this would require that she get a whole current Heating as well as Air Conditioning system but that is not the case. In fact, she is just getting dampers installed in her air duct. That makes it so that every room in the condo can have its own thermostat, but zone control like this is a lot less high-priced than getting strange Heating as well as Air Conditioning systems in each part of the condo is; Additionally, it should save her some cash; Just closing off the vents doesn’t do much as far as energy saving goes, however, zoned Heating as well as Air Conditioning does. I am happy for her. Now her and all of her pets will be happy and comfortable.

There are definitely some challenges to living in an older home. I thought I was saving money when I bought this old place. After all, it was a lot less expensive than some of the newer houses. But now I’m not so sure that it was a good bargain. Some of the floors are a little saggy and need to be replaced, the cupboards in the kitchen need new hinges, and some of the electrical outlets don’t work at all. However, the worst thing about this old place is the heating and cooling system. I don’t expect that the heater or air conditioner have been replaced in a few decades. Every time I turn on the furnace the entire house smells like something is on fire and I don’t feel safe turning it on until I get an HVAC worker out here to take a look at it. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to have to have the whole furnace and air conditioner replaced but I don’t want to do any more harm by turning them on again. Thankfully, I have an appointment for a local HVAC company to come out and take a look on Wednesday. I hope it won’t be too expensive and they can just fix the existing system. Is that too much to hope for? Whatever the case, I need to get my heating and cooling systems fixed ASAP. After that, I can worry about my sagging floors and hanging cupboard doors. This is my house now, no matter what, and I want to take good care of it.

I’ve lived in this old house for over a decade now and I think it’s time to make some changes. I’ve been thinking about what I want to upgrade first for a while now but now it’s time for action. For starters, I don’t have a heating system in my house and I just rely on space heaters to keep warm. I don’t use the heaters very often so I didn’t worry too much about putting in a heating system. But last week, I woke up in the middle of the night to find it freezing cold in the house. I had known that a cold front was coming through but I didn’t expect it to get this freezing cold. I plugged in my space heater to warm up the house but when the plug hit the outlet, it’s sparked and started a small fire in the carpeting. I had always known that space heaters could be dangerous but I didn’t know they could start a fire this way. The fire went out immediately, almost as soon as it started, but it still made me worry. I mean, what if a fire starts again. I decided to call up heating supplier the very next day to look into central heating. They gave me a pretty good price. I think it’s worth it not to burn my house down. Besides, after all these years, my house is due for an upgrade. Next, I want to replace the carpeting. It is also warm out and old. Now, it also has a burn mark too.
