They don’t have air conditioners in my beach home country, so reading how to adjust to using an air conditioner has been entirely too interesting since moving to the US! When I tell people that I never had a central air conditioner growing up, people don’t think how to react.

It isn’t like the people I was with and I was thinking about a central air conditioner whenever the people I was with and I were warm. The humidity plus the heat were just a fact of life. The people I was with and I didn’t even think that the people I was with and I would have to worry about it! Our bodies are amazing things, plus the people I was with and I are able to adapt to anything that life throws at us. In fact, the actual shock came when I traveled to the US for my college studies. I found out that each of the college dorm rooms had a small air conditioner, plus the college students that were born in the US were accustomed to using the air conditioner all the time! During the summer, I was used to the heat, but instead of heat, the air conditioner made me completely miserable. I have never been chilly during the summer. I especially had a difficult time sleeping when the air conditioner was running. I finally understood why the other students had heavy blankets in their beds. The people I was with and I never needed blankets when the people I was with and I didn’t have an air conditioner, and however, over the years, I have grown used to the central air conditioners, plus I might entirely also have a difficult time returning to my beach home country.

I’ve been wild about games since I was a little kid.

There were plenty of different games I played back then.

I lived in a house with great quality heating and air so I really liked staying inside. My parents weren’t to wild about that choice of mine. But going outside the air conditioning just really wasn’t what I was built for. They signed me up for team sports. Yet, I just wasn’t a team player because I wasn’t interested. So then, it was forced outside the air conditioning once again to play something like tennis. But again, it just wasn’t my bag. And then, my dad bought a ping pong table. I’ll never forget the day he set it up in the basement and the feel of that paddle in my hand. My dad played holding the paddle upside with the handle between his thumb and forefinger. That’s the way I play still because that’s the way my old man taught me. So for the past decade, I’ve had tournaments with friends in my own basement where I have four tables. This year, I had the HVAC company install a ductless heat pump down there. This made playing so much more comfortable with the HVAC cooling. It could get quite muggy, close and hot in the basement before the ductless heat pump was installed. Now we play all weekend in some of the best quality heating and air you can find. This past tournament was actually one by someone who had never one before. She put it down to having the great HVAC cooling from the ductless heat pump.

The pandemic has been so terrible for so many families who have lost people.

Then there is all the economic and financial problems wrought by the virus as well.

Of course there were plenty of us who had to leave the zone controlled HVAC of the office to work at home in our own air conditioning. That was certainly the case for me. But what’s different is that the pandemic sort of did me a favor by fast tracking my working from home anyway. For three years prior to the pandemic sending us home from the zone controlled HVAC of the office, I was planning on leaving my job. It’s always been my dream to be my own boss. The work I did inside that zone controlled HVAC was actually something of a passion. It’s just that I hated working for a corporation. All my efforts really only made rich people just that much richer. I was ready to leave the zone controlled HVAC of that office and was biding my time and setting it up. But being sent home to my own air conditioning actually worked in my favor. I decided to just make the home office I wanted a year or two early. The guest loft on the third floor is now my office. It’s really a cool spot but it’s not so cool in the summer. So I had the HVAC company install a ductless heat pump inside that new office. And when the zone controlled HVAC of the downtown office reopened, I was already prepared to launch my own consulting venture.
