I keep telling my sister that she needs to get a whole home air purification system for her house. The indoor air quality in her house is really terrible. I think it’s because she cooks all the time and she seems to always want to cook with grease. I don’t really understand why she wants to cook with grease so much all the time because I think that it’s really unhealthy. But my sister doesn’t really seem to care that she is constantly clogging up the ventilation system and the air filters in her house. She isn’t as concerned about the indoor air quality of her home as I am about mine. I told her the other day when I was over there that she should really think about talking to her HVAC company about the whole idea of a whole home air purification system. I think that it would be really great for her home and for her kids. They have a lot of respiratory issues in that house and I’m pretty sure that the reason why is because of all of the grease and the smoke that she is always clogging up the ventilation system with. If she would just go ahead and get a whole home air purification system that would run in tandem with her existing heating and cooling system, then it would probably fix a lot of her problems. I wish I could just get her to see that the indoor air quality in her house is more important than she obviously thinks that it is!
The other day we had to stay at a hotel
We went out of town last weekend and while we were there, my car tore up.
That means that we ended up having to stay the night at a hotel while the garage was working on our car.
This was annoying because we had that extra expense that we didn’t want to have, plus the hotel that we stayed at ended up being terrible. I didn’t want to stay there, but this particular hotel was the only one around where they had to tow our car to. It was so irritating to me because if I’m going to have to spend the money to stay in a hotel, then I really want it to be a nice hotel. This hotel was not the greatest and it seemed kind of dingy when we first walked into the lobby to get a room. Then, when I got the key and went to our room, I noticed that the room was kind of hot and stuffy inside. I immediately went over to the air conditioning and tried to turn it on, but the knob actually broke off right in my hand. I couldn’t believe it. Since the car was already broken down, I really wasn’t expecting anything else to go wrong for me. But then the air conditioning wouldn’t work in the hotel room and they told us that they didn’t have any other rooms available. We ended up having to stay in that room without any air conditioning all night long and it was so hot and humid in there. What a terrible night we ended up having! I never want to go to that place again.
We went to see a friend in a play the other day
We went to see a friend in a play the other day and it was freezing cold inside the theater! I was really surprised to find that it was so cold inside the main auditorium in the theater, because the weather had been really hot the entire day.
As a matter of fact, the temperature outside had been almost up in the nineties that day and so we assumed that it would be pretty warm inside of the theater.
My daughter and I both wore sundresses so that we wouldn’t get too warm while we watched the play. So imagine our surprise when we walked inside of the lobby of the theater and we nearly got blasted away by the freezing cold air from the air conditioning vents inside! We looked at each other and realized that we had made a huge mistake in wearing our thin little sundresses. It was so cold in there that we had goosebumps before we even got to our seats. Worst of all, there was nothing that we could do to stay warm. Neither of us brought a sweater or anything to cover up with, and so we were doomed to just sit there in the cold air conditioning for two hours while the play seemed to drag on and on. It was a long two hours, that’s for sure. I couldn’t believe how low they had the temperature set on the air conditioning inside the theater. This is just the beginning of the summer, too. I would hate to go in there during the middle of the hottest part of the year.
Don’t scrimp on your HVAC system
Just like everyone else, I try to save money wherever I can. However, I really don’t think that your HVAC system and your indoor air quality are things that you should try and save money on. They are just too important to your health and to your family’s health. I was recently thinking about switching HVAC companies to a lesser known, lower rated HVAC company than the one that I usually use. The only reason that I was thinking about switching at all was because I found out that this other HVAC company was cheaper than my normal one. I was really on the fence about it, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it would make much more sense for me just to stick with what I already had. My normal HVAC company is really great, and they always do fantastic service on my furnace and my air conditioning system for me. The draw of saving any sort of money on a service like that is strong, of course, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I was just going to end up shooting myself in the foot, so to speak. I know that you generally get what you pay for in life. If I were to switch to this cheaper HVAC company, chances are that I would end up getting service that is subpar and that is not what I want at all. I think I’m going to end up staying with my wonderful HVAC company after all. If I end up paying a little bit more for HVAC service and repair, then it will be worth it.
