Cate still has an outdated dial temperature control and it’s time to replace it with a smart temperature control because it isn’t really accurate anymore.

Cate’s grandpa installed it back in the 82 and it has served her well over the years.

But it’s time to make a change and get a new WIFI smart temperature control. She is going to go to the HVAC store later once they slow down a bit and see if she can choose a wonderful unit. Cate doesn’t like to go to the store early in the afternoon because it gets too crowded with local HVAC experts getting their materials for the workday. It usually slows down in the afternoon once pretty much everyone has bought their things and has gone to their job sites. The best time to go to this local HVAC store is in the evening at 6 before they close. The HVAC store is usually a ghost city at this time and also during the weekend. Cate needs to go there today to get this temperature control because she doesn’t believe the dial temperature control is working at all anymore. She doesn’t remember if it has ever been calibrated and it’s so far off that occasionally it seems like it’s on the heat in the middle of a hot afternoon. Cate has a nice central a/c but the temperature control is too old. She’s going to do her yoga session now and then head off to the store to find her new temperature control.

I don’t like to go to the store early in the day because it gets too crowded with local contractors getting their materials for the workday. It usually slows down around four in the afternoon once everyone has bought their things and has gone to their job sites. The best time to go to this local business is actually on Sunday evenings about an hour before they close, the store is usually a ghost town at this time of the day on the weekend. But I really need to go there today to get this thermostat because I don’t think the dial thermostat is working at all anymore. I don’t think it has ever been calibrated and it is so far off that sometimes it seems like it kicks on the heat in the middle of a hot day. We have a really nice central air conditioner but the thermostat is not so nice anymore. I am going to do my yoga session now and then head off to the store to find our new thermostat.

My husband remodels homes for a living, and he has been doing this for about 7 years now.

It’s great that he remodels homes because that can be a hefty cost, but for us the only thing that we need to pay for are the material.

And often, he gets a major discount from a local distributor in town. Anyway, he began as a construction worker when he was 18, but a few years after, he decided that he wanted to go out on his own, so he started his own remodeling contracting service. It worked out well for him because he makes really good money remodeling houses. In fact, he just landed a major contract with a local property management company. They have about fifteen rental units that they need to remodel as soon as possible. Thankfully, my husband has a small crew that works with him, so they will be able to get the job done. This is one of the largest contracts that he has gotten to date. Most of the remodeling that he has done over the years has been on residential properties. This commercial remodeling contract will certainly open up some more doors for him. Currently, he works out of his office at home, but if his business continues to grow at this rate, he will need to find an office space soon. That is something that he will need to address in time. For now, I am just glad that he is able to land major remodeling contracts. And the most exciting part is that he did this all on his own.

Our HVAC dealer stressed the importance of upgrading the system

We purchased a beach house a few weeks ago that met many of our wish lists. This property had a beautiful backyard, a renovated kitchen, and the right number of bedrooms. Despite being satisfied with the location and the size of the house, we were disappointed by the fact that there was no central air conditioning at the beach house. Due to the climate in our region, many older homes lack air conditioning. Although it is mild enough most of the year that we can get by without an air conditioner, I knew I wanted one before summer arrived. After consulting with a local Heating and Air Conditioning dealer, they indicated that it would be fairly easy to install a central air conditioner since the home already had ductwork due to the furnace. In spite of the availability of more extravagant and new types of air conditioners, we went ahead and purchased the central air conditioner that could be installed directly into our existing ductwork. Our HVAC dealer stressed the importance of upgrading the system. Upgrades were completed in plenty of time before the hot and humid season began. The process of upgrading was simple and quick.
