A few weeks ago, my husband and I purchased a beach house that checked off so many boxes on our wish list.

The home had a beautiful backyard, a newly renovated kitchen, and the right number of bedrooms.

Although we were happy with the location and size of the house, one issue was the lack of central air conditioning in the beach house. Because of the climate in our region, many older homes do not have air conditioning. Even though the weather is mild enough most of the year that we could easily live without an air conditioner, I knew that I wanted one before the summer. Our local Heating and Air Conditioning dealer advised us that it would be a simple matter to install a central air conditioner because the home already had ductwork due to the furnace. While there were other more extravagant and new forms of air conditioners to choose from, we ultimately decided to get a central air conditioner that would integrate seamlessly with our existing ductwork. During our discussion with the Heating and Air Conditioning dealer we stressed an upgrade. The upgrade was completed well before the hot and humid weather of the season set in. I am very pleased with how simple and fast the upgrade process was.
