I can’t believe that I was given the chance to choose temperature controlled storage for all of my stuff when I moved and I didn’t end up taking it.

I did not know at that point that temperature controlled heating and cooling was something that I really needed at that point.

It wasn’t something that I had ever really heard of at all before that point. I had always lived up north in the part of the country where the humidity wasn’t really all that much of a problem. But then whenever I decided to move south for a new job, I never really knew that I was going to find out that the air conditioning system was going to be the most important thing of all to me. At that point in my life, I had no idea that the humidity was taken care of by the air conditioning system. It just wasn’t something that I had ever really thought that much about before because it wasn’t something that I had to deal with on a regular basis. Whenever I moved down there for my new job, I put all of my stuff into a storage unit that was not temperature controlled. Of course, now I know that that was a rookie mistake. But back then I had no idea what the humidity and the high temperatures were going to do to all of my clothes and my books. By the time I got everything squared away with a new apartment and my new job, I had mildew all over everything. It was awful! Now I tell everyone who will listen to always choose temperature controlled storage instead.

It’s a good investment to buy a high quality HVAC system.

Having a high quality HVAC system really improves the indoor air quality in your home or office. Nobody wants to be in an area where they feel like they are not breathing clean, quality air. I think it’s especially true that you need to have a high quality air conditioning system in your home. I mean, what parent doesn’t want to have the best air quality for their kids that they can possibly have? I know that for me, whenever I started to have children, I worried more about the indoor air quality than I ever had before. As a matter of fact, that’s when we decided that we were going to install a pole home air purification system to run at the same time as our heating and cooling system. If we had never had children, then I don’t think I would have ever had a whole home air purification system installed in the house at all. Anyway, now that we have the air purification system and high quality heating and cooling system in the house, I think that it really gives our house something special. Everyone who comes into our house thinks that the place feels clean and has a wonderful ambiance. I think that if we choose to sell our house one day,the HVAC system will help us to get a better price for the house. Having a really good HVAC system is an investment whether you plan on staying in your house forever or not.

I have always wanted to add heated flooring to my home. It just sounds like a great system. You have electric heated mats under the tile and it warms your floors. The heat doesn’t rise since it is an electric base. It doesn’t create hot and cold spots or polluted indoor air conditions due to no air being blown. Due to this, you can lower the temperature for the heated flooring and save some money. Anything that is touching the floors feels warm as a result. The bed, chairs and couch all feel like heated seats due to this. The system operates silently too. There is no loud clicking on and off that wakes you out of a dead sleep. There are no hot parts of the heating system that can be dangerous to kids. As far as maintenance goes, heated flooring systems aren’t too bad. You should have a heating technician check it about once a year to make sure everything is good. Why wouldn’t someone want heated flooring? The cons I have found is that it does raise and add weight to your current floors. Is the change in level a big deal to you? Another con is that you need to rip up your existing floors to put down this system. There is no way to save your rug or former tile. Also, if you install the heating system wrong, you are done for. There is no way to access the heating system after you close it in with flooring. You would be just sort of stuck with a faulty system until you need new floors.

The seclusion and privacy was great for a honeymoon couple, but not a long term thing at all

On our honeymoon I took my husband to a remote area. I found a house on Vrbo that was totally off grid. You could see the ocean from the window, had plenty of property and was totally private. My husband and I had to get gas in town and stock up on food. There was literally nothing near the house. Everything was very environmentally friendly. The people composted, the water was a well system and the heating system was powered by generators. There also was a wood stove that you literally burned wood for heat. My husband and I thought we could make due with that type of heating system. There was a whole stack of wood available to us to burn. When the woodstove was loaded up and running, it was plenty warm. I loved reading and drinking hot chocolate by the woodstove. It was the perfect heating system. The work my husband did wasn’t worth it. He was constantly loading more wood and poking the fire. We knew at night the stove would burn out and we would be without heating. We were very thankful for the generator powered heating system. We ran that the whole time we slept at night and sometimes on especially cold mornings. I don’t know how people could live off grid full time like this. The seclusion and privacy was great for a honeymoon couple, but not a long term thing at all. I get tired of chopping wood and rationing heat, water and food constantly. I also would like to be near a grocery store.
