The property director could save me quite a bit of time

I own 15 rental properties plus I am constantly talking to a real estate broker to find more doors. I want to have over 20 doors that I am renting out. For a while it was really hard. I was doing all the work myself. I had over 10 lawns that I was mowing with my brother once a week. I also was doing Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C, plumbing and handyman work constantly in my units. It took some time, even though I have found workers in the field. I finally have a lawn service that does all my lawns now. When I get a condo rental, I just add their lawn to my bill. I have a Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C workers that handle anything heating plus cooling my renters bring up. I found myself a really nice plumber that has handled toilet repairs, shower drainage plus septic tank troubles for me, but lastly I have a handyman that deals with stuff that isn’t as specialized; Sometimes I need a floor updated, stairs redone or just a new window added. That guy is reasonably priced plus comes wherever I call. Now that I have all my professionals, it isn’t as tough. I am still thinking of relying on a property director though. I don’t like taking calls afternoon in plus afternoon out. I don’t like looking at each repair to see if it warrants my Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C guy or not. The property director could save me quite a bit of time. I already have all the professionals I would want the director to hire anyway. It should be quite simple bringing one new employee to the team.

I live down south in the country. My grass isn’t undoubtedly green. I have little tufts of turf that sticks out of white sand. I feel like I live on a beach but just not by the water. The sand is something that I am always fighting. I have two doorways, one to the living room and one to the home office. In the home office it isn’t a huge deal. I have hardwood floors that I just vacuum, sweep and mop when I need to get rid of the sand. The living room is all rug. The carpets extend down the hallway and into the home offices. I love to walk around outside without shoes. I have a cat that sheds a lot of hair and rolls in the sand. My kids are constantly playing in the yard as well. As a family the people I was with and I bring a lot of sand, dirt and hair into the house. I vacuum but it only does so much. After a while our carpets feel brittle and smell like they had a beach day. I used to rent one of those carpet cleaners but they were awful. It left the carpets soggy and smelly for hours. I couldn’t have anyone go in the home during the drying process. I found a residential cleaning company that does carpet cleaning near me. They have professional level rug cleaning tools. They don’t leave our carpets super wet and icky. They get all the gross dirt, hair and grime out of the carpets by how they wipe as well. I basically need to take the teenagers to the grocery store and then by the time I come back, the carpets are all done. The home feels brand new after a rug cleaning.

The owners of the fitness center where my friends and I work out were not scared of the government’s warning to shut things down when the covid virus started. The fitness center stayed open long after the rules were switched. I went to the fitness center and worked out with all of our friends. I did not wear a mask and I wasn’t nervous. I was incredibly stupid and foolish. When Tom got sick, he called the fitness center. He had been there the previous afternoon before he was diagnosed positive. He was forced to notify every person he came in contact with during that week. The owner of the fitness center did not want to take any chances. The guy instantaneously called a cleaning crew to wash and sanitize the fitness center! Unfortunately, a couple of days later there were reports of various other people coming down with a virus. At that point, the owner of the fitness center did not have any choice. The guy had to close down the store until the virus wasn’t as bad. Even the group fitness classes were canceled after the scare, and they are held in a very different space of the building. The spin class was canceled and the yoga class was moved to a new site. All of the group fitness classes resumed when the fitness center reopened. The virus scared a lot of people and worried several more. I’m blissful to see that things are almost over. It will be nice when we’re out of the clear and both of us can go back to life as usual.

I genuinely did not think the rules would ever change.

I did not know there was a way to remove all of the children from using the pool. After last night’s meeting, I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what is going to happen. I attended a meeting at the fitness center. Everyone with a membership was invited to attend the meeting. After it, they were discussing closing down the pool to children. The pool has always been open to children, and I was truly surprised by all of the comments. Most people agreed that the kids should not be able to use the pool. I tried to interject with some reasoning. After all, if the youngsters do not have this place to go after school, where will they go? That is always something that has anxious me. I do not like to see the youngsters end up on the streets because there is not any fun after university programs. I have been talking to the university board members about the method changes. They agree it will not be great for the students. I guess the university might Implement an after-university program to keep the youngsters safe. The after-university program at the university will not include swimming or a pool, but the youngsters will have activities and sports to keep them tied up when university is done. I have truly offered to volunteer to help out and I donated some supplies about should you get the program moving in the right direction.
