I was having some problems with the air flow of my central heat and a/c unit.

• And when I really thought about it, I found that the issue was not my central heating and air conditioning system, but it was actually my air vents.

It seems that my air vents were redirected in the wrong direction! How I would not have noticed this is beyond me. It is most likely because I work all the time during the week and am so tired, then on the weekend I think about nothing and just rest. But with the weather being what it has been lately, I really looked into this. I was glad I figured this out before calling the local heating and air conditioning company. That would have been a major waste of money if I had called them and then they sent a heat and a/c specialist out. They would have laughed at me and just fixed the air vents as I did, then left. All within the course of probably 10 minutes. They would have got paid two hundred bucks at least for doing absolutely nothing that an average joe like myself could do. Ever since I redirected the air vents where they were supposed to be my air flow has been great with the central heating and air conditioning system. I will have to keep a closer eye on things in the future to ensure I do not do something like this again. That could have been pretty embarrassing in the end!

I bought a portable air purification system a few months ago.

And while it does what it is supposed to do, sometimes it does not work very well.

This would happen when the air quality outside is super bad. At these times it does not matter how many portable air purification systems you have in a room, they are just not strong enough to combat that kind of bad air quality. For this, a whole home air purification system is more suited. With a whole home air purification system you can combat most any bad air quality situations. How do I know this? Because a friend of mine has a whole home air purification system. He is lucky enough to have the kind of money to afford one. I can’t afford it, which is why I had to settle for portable air purification systems that sometimes work and sometimes don’t. The best course of action I was able to take against the bad air quality was to have 2 portable air purification systems running in the same room at the same time. This did not completely clear the bad air quality, but it made it more bearable to where my allergies did not go super nuts. It made my allergies very minimal, which was a good thing. So for now until I can afford a whole home air purification system I will just have to keep doing what I have been doing with the portable air purification systems and just simply hope for the best possible outcome they can provide!

I really love the fine work the housekeeping company I hire does in my home.

They really make sure everything is extra clean and every visit is more or less a deep clean. They do not charge extra for this either. It is just all in the quality of home services they provide. They even clean the outer rims of the air vents to my central heating and air conditioning system! I had never seen housekeepers do that before. It may not sound like a big deal but it really is. Because keeping the outer rims of the air vents clean helps your central heat and a/c unit because not as much dirt, dust, grime and pet dander gets into the ductwork. This is something that normally your friendly HVAC worker from the local heating and air conditioning company may do during an HVAC tune up and check up for an extra cost. By my housekeeping service does this as part of the general house cleaning! I am so lucky for this. I could never get up there and do this myself because it is just way too much of a hassle. So I really have my housekeepers to partly thank for why my central heating and air conditioning system runs so smooth with very little cleaning needed to the ductwork ever. It would be nice if all housekeeping services could do this, but sadly they don’t. I am just lucky all together with this set up. I thank them and my central heating and air conditioning system I am sure thanks them as well!

This new HVAC company just opened down the street and they are doing free service calls to check out the HVAC systems in each flat.

They are trying to drum up business and giving something away for free is one of the best ways of doing so.

I like the idea and will support them when I am in need of an HVAC repair or maintenance job. I want to go to their store to see what they sell too because it is a lot easier to just buy it there as opposed to online where I have to wait in my flat all day til they arrive. I think I am going to be in the market for a new electric heat pump soon because mine is old and losing its efficiency. I may have them do the installation for me because my back has been hurting some and I don’t want to make it worse. I used to be an HVAC technician and can do most of the repairs but with the condition my body is in right now I think it is better to just have them do it. And since they are a new contractor company in town I would like to see them succeed, so giving them business would help them achieve that. I remember when I had my local business and was hungry for work and how happy I was when people came to me for help. We are all just helping each other and the more we do that the better the world will be.
