I have been having indoor air quality problems for a long time now.

So when I finally decide to get them taken care of I wanted to get something big that would take care of the problem once and for all.

I know that there are a lot of people out there that use whole home air purification systems, and I figured that considering how long I’ve had this issue that a whole home air purification system would be the best system for me. I know that oftentimes people that have indoor air quality problems just see something like a heap of filter or an air purifier to take care of their issue. While I do believe these devices do a really good job to take care of your indoor air quality, I do not think that they can do nearly as good of a job as a whole home air purification system. So what I was going to do was to purchase a whole home air purification system from my local heating and AC business. I know that going into this is not inexpensive by any means. And fast, I’m going to have to spend a large amount of my savings just to get a whole home air purification system. However, I love this area that I live in, and the whole place has terrible indoor air quality. I don’t want to leave but I also have to think of my health, so for me getting a whole home air purification system would be well worth it. I have been shopping around for some whole home air purification systems, so far I found three heating and air conditioning businesses that happen, and of course I’m going with the cheapest option in the hopes of saving some money.

I hate to charge my customers more money for repairs and installations, but it looks like I am going to need to raise prices for the first time in 3 years.

• I haven’t raised prices at all since before the pandemic.

Everyone knows that times are tough. I’ve been doing my best to keep prices low so we can continue to be profitable. Unfortunately, the warehouse where I buy all of my equipment and parts is going to raise all of their prices on the 1st of the year. In 60 days, I am going to be paying 3% more across the board for every part and piece of equipment that I ordered from the heating and AC warehouse. There aren’t any other places for me to order the equipment either. This place is the only heating and AC parts warehouse on the East Coast that offers next day delivery for free. I know that I’m going to have to pay for the extra fees and that 3% is going to hurt. 3% of my equipment and parts bill at the HVAC business is probably equal to $1,000 a month. Over time, that will add up and really put a dent in my budget if I don’t figure out a way to cut costs in other places. I’m going to need to raise my prices or my profit will be razor thin. If I have to pay more, my customers are going to have to pay more too. I don’t see any other way around it and I have been thinking about it all week.

Every year my family and I have to go through the summer wondering if we are going to have a hurricane or a tropical storm.

Tropical storms and hurricanes cannot be avoided when you live in this part of the country.

During the summer months there is often tropical activity. Last year we had two hurricanes in one month. The power was out for several days and we lost $200 worth of food that my wife had purchased the previous day. We did not anticipate that this one would take a turn and head right in our direction. After the storm was over, I thought about the power going out frequently and I decided to contact a company to install a generator that would run our air conditioning system and the refrigerator. I spoke with an HVAC contractor and we worked out all of the details. A week later, the company came to install the generator. It was a pretty big process to make sure that everything was hooked up correctly, but now we have a generator that can easily run the heating and AC system along with the refrigerator and the rain. All of the appliances are wired directly into the system so the generator kicks on as soon as the power goes out. Even if the power goes out for 90 seconds, the generator will still come on. I am very happy with the generator and next summer I don’t think we will have any problems like the ones that we did last year. We are going to be prepared.

I’ve been listening to the sound of the broken air conditioner for the past month.

I contacted the apartment building manager and I complained about the noise.

The manager said that she sent someone to look at the system and there were no problems. I don’t understand how there can’t be any problems when the machine is making such a strange and odd noise. I had my boyfriend look at the AC unit where he was here a couple of days ago. He works as an electrician. He knows a little bit of stuff about heating and AC equipment, but he did not have a good answer for me. He couldn’t find any problems either. The sound of the AC is really freaking me out, especially at night when I am trying to sleep. It sounds like there is a monster in the closet. I am 26 years old, so I know there really isn’t a monster in my closet but the noise still makes me feel very freaked out when I am trying to rest. This morning I went to speak with the manager again about the problems with the ac. She ignored me and blew me off. I told her that she needs to come to my apartment to listen to the sound. If she did, then she would understand exactly why I know there is a problem that needs to be fixed. I’m not making the noises up and it’s not the boogeyman either. They have to work on the problem to find the source of the noise.
