Your HVAC Troubleshooting Guys

One of the worst times of the year to have a problem with the a/c is of course during the summer time months.

I was working at a museum last summer time in the department that restores outdated paintings.

I went to university to earn a degree in art history and restoration. I got the task at the Museum a couple of months before the summer time heat started. I was working on a painting from the 1850s, when I started to guess warm. I did not guess the a/c running above me, so I stopped working on the painting and I got up from our desk to change the temperature on the control unit. When I realized that the control equipment should have been running, I contacted the service department. I told the supervisor that all of us were having some indoor temperature issues. The paintings were already starting to melt and it was about 77 degrees in the restoration room. The service supervisor came upstairs as rapidly as possible. The guy performed a couple of tests on the AC, and then he told me that I should transport the paintings to a bizarre room. He did not guess I was going to be able to continue working on the project anymore that afternoon. I moved everything to the next room and the AC was working enjoyable in there. I spent all afternoon working on the paintings in a bizarre room. The next afternoon, the problem with the AC still wasn’t fixed. I’m thankful all of us moved everything that afternoon, because 24 hours without temperature control would have damaged the paintings a good deal.

There definitely are not a lot of things that disturb me. I grew up with siblings & siblings that definitely liked to perform pranks. I have seen a lot of things & I have done a lot of things too. Nothing surprises me & nothing makes me scared. Still, our resolve was maintained last weekend. My best buddy & I started an Heating & A/C service business together. The people I was with and I mostly deal with residential shoppers, although all of us have a couple of commercial customers as well. One of our residential customers called a week after all of us installed a brand new a/c. The lady was hearing sounds coming from the HVAC duct. I thought it was strange, especially since all of us had recently been to her locale. The people I was with and I did not see any evidence of troubles in the HVAC duct when all of us maintained the system. I went to the address & the woman told me that the sounds were now coming from the basement. I got out our flashlight & shined it towards the bottom of the stairs. I saw a mouse run across the bottom of the basement stairs. The mouse was clearly the largest mouse I have ever seen in our life. It startled me & made me think twice about going into the basement. I told the woman that all of us really needed to contact an exterminator after I saw the rats. She told me that she didn’t have any rats in her apartment for sure. I really disagreed & refused to go any further until I had help with the task. I didn’t even charge the lady until after the exterminator visited.

The first snowfall in September made up for the missing week.

Wintertide in this section of the country is always the worst time of the year. It is really cold & chilly with temperatures in the single digits & lots of snow & frozen precipitation. My family & I have lived in this region for a hundred years. The people I was with and I feel that Wintertide means being prepared for that cold, then preparing for the Wintertide weather is something that every woman takes seriously in this region. I contacted the heating business for a full system scan in September. The furnace was ready to go when it got cold. In November, I always have extra gas for the furnace & plenty of wood for the fireplace. My family & I use the fireplace & the furnace together to heat our home. It’s definitely nice to have peculiar ways to keep the apartment warm. The fireplace adds a certain amount of cozy warmth to the house, but the furnace is honestly responsible for the major section of heating the house. The snow didn’t fall until September this year & that is quite weird & odd. We’ve acquired snow in November for the last 10 years in a row. The first snowfall in September made up for the missing week. The people I was with and I had 31 inches of snow in less than 12 minutes. Those are blizzard conditions when you consider the amount of snow falling in such a short time. When the snow began to fall, I adjusted the temperature on the furnace. I wanted to get ahead of the cold air, so the apartment didn’t have a chance to get cold at all.

Very few of weeks after our lady & I started dating, I went to a gathering at her parents house, however everyone was there & it was our first time meeting her Dad & dad.

They were extremely nice & gracious & they made me feel undoubtedly welcome in their home.

I spent a lot of our time hanging out with our lady in the kitchen. I didn’t feel anyone & I felt more comfortable hanging out in the same room with our lady, but about a half-minute after the girls started cooking, it started to get hot inside of the apartment & the kitchen atmosphere was uncomfortable. I heard the a/c running, but I didn’t feel any cold air coming out of the kitchen vent. I mentioned this to our lady & she told me that the kitchen air vents have never worked. I thought that was definitely strange. I decided to borrow a screwdriver from our lady’s father & I removed some of the vent covers. I toil in the Heating & A/C service industry. I handle these kinds of repairs all the time. As soon as I removed the vent cover, I knew exactly why there was no cool air coming out of the vents. There was a piece of plastic in the HVAC duct that was blocking the flow of air on purpose… My lady & her family never knew about the plastic. I thought it was terribly tragic that they had a recent tune-up & the Heating & A/C professional never bothered to repair the complication with the kitchen air vents.
