I really like being able to go without shoes on during the winter. I wasn’t ever able to do that before this year when we got a new radiant heated flooring system installed in the house. I have always been one of those people who loves to go barefoot all year long. When I was a kid, I used to get made fun of all the time because of it, but I don’t care! I just really hate wearing shoes for some reason, and now my kids are the same way. They have really tough feet during the summer and they can walk on rocks without even flinching. However, walking across bare ground and rocks is a totally different thing than having cold feet during the winter. Having cold feet during the winter can be really annoying, and we all hate it. It’s hard to want to have bare feet all the time and yet be freezing cold at the same time. So last year, my husband decided that he was going to fix this little problem for us. As our Christmas gift for the family last year, he had radiant heated flooring installed in our house. He ended up having it put in the family room, the kitchen, the hallways, and the bathrooms. Ever since we had the radiant heated flooring put in, my kids and I have been super happy! We can have bare feet no matter how cold it is outside! My husband thinks it’s silly that we are like this, but he is happy that we are happy.
