There was a time in my life when I completely fell off and went into a severe depression.
I ended up living out of my car and when I lost my car, I had to stay at a homeless shelter for a little while.
The people who worked at the place really seemed to care about those people who were in unfortunate situations and had no other place to go. Well, eventually I ran into some friends and they decided to help me out with my situation. It wasn’t before long when I was able to get a new job, they helped me get some clothes, shoes, and what I needed to get back to work. When I was working again, I was able to feel better about myself and started to realize that I could get out of the hole that I ended up in. I stayed with roommates for awhile with very cheap rent until I could save up enough money to get my own place. I ended up getting a small house not too distant from where I was working and the place had a nice HVAC unit to keep me comfortable. It was only a 15 minute walk to my workplace which was really convenient because I couldn’t afford to buy a car. I would basically take the bus around the town though, but typically I would walk to work. It was nice working at the place because they always had comfortable temperature control settings, unlike the homeless shelter. I was very thankful to my friends for helping me with my situation, and they basically just told me that’s what friends are for. I hope I can pay them back one day for the help they provided me.
