Humidity damaging the floors in our home

I told them to install the dehumidifier as soon as possible, and they were able to make it happen later that week

Over the summer, the temperature in our region is warm and humid. I thought that just having air conditioning system and keeping the windows open would be enough to compensate for these weather conditions. In the past, I’ve still noticed the humidity, although I figured I was doing the best I could to combat it. This past winter, I had brand modern hardwood floors put into our home. When the Summer rolled around, I noticed that the floors were starting to change in shape and even splinter in some spots. I contacted the supplier that installed the floors and they came and took a look. They said that the humidity in our condo was causing the damage and our best choice was to look into a whole condo dehumidifier. I contacted a Heating and Cooling supplier instantly because I didn’t want the damage to get worse. They sent an Heating and A/C professional to take a look. The professional said I was able to install a dehumidifier that would connect directly to our existing central air system. As the condo cools from the central air, the dehumidifier also operates and disconnects moisture from the air. I told them to install the dehumidifier as soon as possible, and they were able to make it happen later that week. Luckily, the floors were not permanently damaged. I’m blissful I was able to repair the problem before our brand modern floors were completely ruined.
