I will eventually need a new A/C unit

For 5 years now, I have lived in our townhome.

I bought it because I needed more room for me and my pet Marley, but she is a small 15 pound cavapoo and she is the most adorable pet ever.

She loves to play with her toys, and I wanted her to have a section for that! And the townhome was perfect for her because I have a small fenced in yard where she spends much of her day. She comes in when she gets bored or wants something to eat. So all in all, Marley and I feel right at home here, and well, this home has been great, but I have run into one issue. I just had our A/C taken care of, and our HVAC specialist mentioned that I will need to substitute the machine soon! The system is about 19 years old, and with proper service over the years, it has been finally working efficiently, but I have noticed that it is not cooling as it did before, plus when I mentioned that to the heating and cooling specialist, he concluded that the system is losing its efficiency. So, I know that I will eventually need a new unit. I decided to do some research to see the cost of purchasing plus installing a new HVAC unit. I found that it will cost between $3,500 to $10,000 depending on the size of our home and the size of the A/C unit. Thankfully, our townhome is only 1,600 square feet, so the cost of the machine will be on the lower end. When it comes time to substitute our unit, I will have our A/C specialist to provide an estimate for the entire thing.
