For 5 years now, I have lived in my townhome. I purchased it because I needed more room for me and my dog Marley. She is a small 15 pound cavapoo and she is the most adorable dog ever. The system is about 19 years old, and with regular maintenance over the years, it has been working efficiently. But I have noticed that it is not cooling as it did before, and when I mentioned that to my HVAC technician, he concluded that the system is losing its efficiency. So, I know that I will eventually need a new unit. I decided to do some research to see the cost of purchasing and installing a new HVAC unit. I found that it will cost between $3,500 to $10,000 depending on the size of my house and the size of the HVAC until.
