I will need to replace my HVAC unit soon

Thankfully, my townhome is only 1,600 square feet, so the cost of the unit will be on the lower end

For 5 years now, I have lived in my townhome. I purchased it because I needed more room for me and my dog Marley. She is a small 15 pound cavapoo and she is the most adorable dog ever. She loves to play with her toys, and I wanted her to have a space for that. And my townhome was perfect for her because I have a small fenced in yard where she spends much of her day. She comes in when she gets bored or wants something to eat. So all in all, Marley and I feel right at home here. Well, this house has been great, but I have run into one issue. I just had my air conditioner serviced, and my HVAC technician mentioned that I will need to replace the unit soon. The system is about 19 years old, and with regular maintenance over the years, it has been working efficiently. But I have noticed that it is not cooling as it did before, and when I mentioned that to my HVAC technician, he concluded that the system is losing its efficiency. So, I know that I will eventually need a new unit. I decided to do some research to see the cost of purchasing and installing a new HVAC unit. I found that it will cost between $3,500 to $10,000 depending on the size of my house and the size of the HVAC until. Thankfully, my townhome is only 1,600 square feet, so the cost of the unit will be on the lower end. When it comes time to replace my unit, I will have my HVAC technician to provide a quote for the entire thing.
