My dad didn’t think I could make it as an HVAC technician.

I was a screw-up the entire time I was in high school, and my father just shook his head.

He had no idea how I was going to get good grades and graduate, since he picked me up from the office, more often than he picked me up at the bus stops.

I told him I would grow up one day, and he would laugh and tousle my hair, but I was sure he didn’t believe it. After graduation, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life, but I was sure I didn’t want to go to college. My dad told me I had to find a job. I found a job at a local HVAC company that was hiring someone to clean for them. I didn’t mind going in after hours, or before hours. I enjoyed taking care of the cleaning and helping out with inventory. Every so often, one of the HVAC technicians would be working overtime, and I would get the chance to talk to them. I loved listening to their stories and hearing how they worked on the HVAC systems. I was talking to one HVAC technician who asked if I was interested in becoming an HVAC technician? I hadn’t thought about being an HVAC technician, but I loved working in the company. After he put the thought in my head, I started thinking about it. I talked to my father, and although he didn’t think I could make it as an HVAC technician, he was willing to help me get into school.
