We’d still get the freedom to open the windows, but we also got the freedom to regulate our HVAC installation using a thermostat, ensuring we get the desired indoor comfort. Once the a/c was installed in the space, my wife immediately moved her office to the garage, where she says it feels far from the rest of us, who are always knocking on her door. Apart from the privacy, the a/c has made it a comfortable work space. We thought our bills would be higher than before, but we needed to increase our pay. As obsessive planners, we’ve both started contributing to an HVAC maintenance kitty because we want to keep the comfort going for as long as possible, and it’s also a sure way to avoid air conditioning repair due to negligence. I almost forgot; our friends think we have the most comfortable lounge area.
