Installing a multi-split air conditioning system in our lounge and garage office

When we built our home, having high full-length windows in the lounge area and one in the garage would be enough for good air quality and flow.

We soon realized that we had some heat build-up that made the space uncomfortable to work or relax in.

We needed a quality air conditioner that would serve the two rooms. Our home had no experience with the cooling industry, so we needed an air conditioning technician to teach us more about air conditioning in such spaces. We got a reliable a/c serviceman from the local air conditioning company to guide us through purchasing and installing quality HVAC equipment. After several consultations with the a/c expert and our contractor, we bought a multi-split air conditioning system from the local air conditioning provider. We’d still get the freedom to open the windows, but we also got the freedom to regulate our HVAC installation using a thermostat, ensuring we get the desired indoor comfort. Once the a/c was installed in the space, my wife immediately moved her office to the garage, where she says it feels far from the rest of us, who are always knocking on her door. Apart from the privacy, the a/c has made it a comfortable work space. We thought our bills would be higher than before, but we needed to increase our pay. As obsessive planners, we’ve both started contributing to an HVAC maintenance kitty because we want to keep the comfort going for as long as possible, and it’s also a sure way to avoid air conditioning repair due to negligence. I almost forgot; our friends think we have the most comfortable lounge area.
